NHS students (both those entering and those inducted) will complete 20 hours of community service each year. Some of these will be in the form of projects run by NHS, others will be completed by the individual students.

NHS students must participate in fundraising through the coffee shop, keeping in mind the business skills and the responsibilities involved.

NHS students in the Garden Valley Chapter must maintain a 3.5 gpa.
